About me

I am Lian Hortensius, an experienced data science and analytics leader with experience in the hospitality, logistics, and non-profit industries. I have a Statistics Master degree from the University of Minnesota and extensive experience managing data science and analytics teams. I work as the Director of Animal Data Science at The Marine Mammal Center. I am interested in applying statistical methods to real world problems, including work related to oceanography, marine science, and environmental protection.

I also have an M.S. in Neuropsychology from Utrecht University and an M.A. in quantitative psychology / psychometrics from the University of Minnesota.
